Apostle Dr. Ing Kwadwo Safo is the founder and the chairman of the Kantanka Group, the largest local technology conglomerate in Ghana which is recognised for its annual technology exhibition organised in December. He is a renowned Ghanaian-born technologist, philanthropist and Pan-African who believes in Black Emancipation and transformational change. He is also a prolific science innovator with at least a hundred locally-made gadgets and herbal breakthroughs to his name, Kantanka, as he is locally and internationally recognised.
Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena is the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Kantanka Group and the leader of Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana. His appointment as the Group’s CEO was finalised in 2016 after 10 years of working dedicatedly and committedly with his father, Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo, who recently retired as the previous leader and CEO of the group.
Akofena is a trained Ghanaian-pilot, an innovator and a business entrepreneur. He returned to company duty after he obtained an MBA from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration [GIMPA] . This time he took a more active role in running the day to day activities of the Group. He is currently one of the young ambassadors of the National Vocational and Technical Institute [NVTI] championing the course of technical and practical application of our education in addressing societal problems in Ghana.
